    A 5.4 magnitude earthquake has struck in Hawke's Bay

    A 5.4 magnitude earthquake has struck in Hawke's Bay



    It was centred 30 kilometres east of Wairoa at a depth of 26 kilometres.

    The quake was felt at quarter past six.

    While some callers to Newstalk ZB have reported items falling off shelves, Civil Defence says there have been no reports of any serious damage.
