A man is set to face a raft of charges, after allegedly barricading himself in an Auckland vehicle repair shop armed with a firearm

Armed officers descended on Glenfield about 10am.

Police say the man fled on foot after failing to stop when signalled to pull over.

He entered a vehicle repair shop, then a neighbouring VTNZ.

The man was arrested without incident, and police later found the firearm in the building's roof.
