Napier police are appalled after finding methamphetamine hidden under a two-year-old in a car seat

Napier police are appalled after finding methamphetamine hidden under a two-year-old in a car seat

Police had stopped a woman and searched her car - also finding a cut-down .22 rifle in the boot along with ammunition, cash and more drugs.

Police allege the woman had just done a drug deal at a house across the road from a school.

Eastern District Organised Crime Unit head Detective Senior Sergeant Dave de Lange, says officers are more and more concerned about children at drug dealing houses.

He says police are having to deal with it regularly - and the people concerned seem to have no regard for the safety of their children..
