    A young woman is due to get an apology from the Southern DHB for how she was treated


    The woman, who was a teenager at the time, was given no clothes or mattress for 18 hours in a locked unit at a psychiatric hospital.

    A Health & Disability Commission report has told the DHB to apologise - and review its practices.

    The incident happened in 2013, but the decision has only just been released.

    Life Matters Suicide Prevention Trust chair Corinda Taylor says an apology isn't good enough - and the patient should be entitled to compensation.
