    A man's still in critical condition after allegedly attempting to break into a van in Te Atatu, in West Auckland


    Police are still making enquiries after a person reportedly found two men trying to break into their vehicle about 4am on Sunday.

    During the altercation, an alleged offender sustained a head injury, and the second left in a vehicle.

    Detective Senior Sergeant Kim Libby says Police trying to find the second man are urging him to come forward.

    Anyone who saw suspicious activity on Te Atatu Road early Sunday morning should contact Police.
