High migrant arrivals are being offset by more long-term departures from New Zealand

Almost 150-thousand people arrived here in the year to March -- more than when net migration peaked in 2016.
However, net migration was just over 55-thousand.
Meanwhile, overseas visitors arriving in Queenstown in August are up 22-percent on August last year.
Almost one in five overseas visitors flying into Queenstown are from Australia.
