A man' suffered a medical event after being tasered ... in the culmination of a dramatic police pursuit in Auckland

The driver of the fleeing vehicle was tasered by arresting Police after the chase ended on Middlemore train station's platform.

The incident unfolded three suburbs north in Panmure, when patrol units and the Eagle helicopter began pursuing a stolen vehicle.

The vehicle collided with another car as it drove through Mt Wellington and Otahuhu - and continued on to the train platform.

Three other people in the vehicle were arrested.

Trains on the city's Eastern and Southern lines were affected for more than two hours.
