The Prime Minister says getting young people into the trades starts at home

A new 27 million dollar plan's been announced today... opening up to four-thousand extra places for training programmes.

Jacinda Ardern says there needs to be a societal shift - in education and communities where kids get advice including from parents.

From next year, the Government will fund two thousand more Trades Academy places and up to two thousand more places for Gateway.
