    The All Whites have called on a former cult hero to help steer them towards World Cup qualification


    Former striker Rory Fallon has joined the national side as an assistant coach under Danny Hay.

    The 37-year-old played 24 games for New Zealand scoring five goals, one of which helped secure the All Whites qualification to the 2010 World Cup.

    Former goalkeeper Jason Batty will also come into the fold.
