    Christchurch police have chased down another fleeing driver


    Police tried stopping a driver about 7.30 last night on Montreal Street - but he fled.

    They followed the driver for two minutes before abandoning the chase because of the erratic driving.

    Police say they found the vehicle on the corner of Cuffs and Wainoni Roads soon after, and arrested the driver.

    A 28-year-old man will appear in court next week, charged with driving in a dangerous manner, failing to stop, and unlawfully taking a motor vehicle.
