    A 16th pole position of the season for Kiwis Supercars driver Scott McLaughlin


    The championship leader, who will have Alex Premat has his co-driver, will start from the front in tonight's Gold Coast 600 Supercars race.

    Fellow-New Zealander Shane van Gisbergen has managed third in the top 10 shootout, with compatriot Fabian Coulthard sixth and Andre Heimgartner eighth.

    Racing gets underway at 6pm.
