Infrastructure New Zealand says plans to establish an independent drinking water regulator is great news

The government's made the announcement... following the campylobacter crisis in Havelock North in Hawke's Bay in 2016.
CEO Paul Blair says that while the plan sounds great... there're some financial concerns.
He says it's fantastic the plan provides for environmental, social and cultural outcomes... but there're real funding pressures on the sector.
