Christchurch takes the cake when it comes to who will have the best Labour Day weather

Christchurch takes the cake when it comes to who will have the best Labour Day weather

A front making its way up the country will linger over the North Island today, bringing scattered rain with it.

And there'll be showers in Otago, Southland and the West Coast.

MetService meteorologist Claire Nickson says when it comes to Canterbury - it's looking mainly fine.

She says out of the main centres, Christchurch will be the sunniest - with just a small chance of a shower in the afternoon or early evening.
