It appears Southland's Charity Hospital will be going ahead
30 October 2019
About 100 people attended the first public information meeting in Invercargill last night.
Cancer sufferer Blair Vining was a key advocate for the hospital, before his death earlier this month.
Canterbury Charity Hospital founder, doctor Phil Bagshaw, says almost everyone at the meeting voted in favour of carrying on.
He says Blair's wife Melissa spoke beautifully about how much her husband wanted the charity hospital to happen.
