A woman in her seventies is recovering in Middlemore Hospital after being knocked to the ground and having her handbag snatched

She was attacked as she arrived home after using her bank card to buy groceries at a Papakura supermarket.

With 10 minutes of the robbery, her card had been used and two thousand dollars withdrawn.

The woman and her family believe the culprits followed her home and had probably watched her enter her pin number when she paid for her groceries.

Police are still looking for the offenders.
