Westpac's Kiwi arm's profit rises three-percent to more than a billion dollars
The profit of Westpac's Kiwi arm has risen three-percent, to more than a billion dollars - boosted by one-off gains from its share in Paymark, and a 10 million dollar impairment benefit

Parent company Westpac Banking Corporation has recorded a 16-percent drop in net profit, with cash earnings down 15-percent.
Last week ANZ New Zealand reported a net profit after tax of 1.824 billion dollars.
That was down eight-percent from last year's record almost 2 billion dollars.
