It's not like riding a bike

It's not like riding a bike

That's the warning from the Motorcyclist Advisory Council after four riders died in three separate crashes over the weekend.

The crashes were in Christchurch, Nelson and Timaru.

Council President Mark Gilbert says warm weather tends to bring riders back out on the roads again.

He says motorcyclists who have had an extended break from riding, should undertake training to re-trigger what they need to be aware of when riding a motorcycle.

Mark Gilbert says people who upskill through programmes like ACC Ride Forever - crash less.
