The Opposition is opposing the Criminal Cases Review Commission Bill, which is back in the House today.
It would establish a Commission which could consider applications, initiate inquiries, and refer cases to the appeal courts.
National's courts spokesman Chris Penk says the impact on a victim's life if a matter is re-litigated, should be taken into account.
He says anyone would be able to rock up to the Commission and try to prove they're innocent, even though they've been through a robust court process.
