A SeaLink ferry staff member has been physically assaulted at Auckland's Waiheke Island terminal

A SeaLink ferry staff member has been physically assaulted at Auckland's Waiheke Island terminal

SeaLink chief executive Steve Chapman says the attack on the woman yesterday comes after recent infrastructure upgrades have seen customers vent frustration over traffic and parking restrictions.

He's calling it disgraceful and totally unacceptable.

The woman is now resting at home and police are investigating.
