Police are seeking information following an alleged assault on Auckland's North Shore

Police are seeking information following an alleged assault on Auckland's North Shore

A woman in her 20s was moderately injured after being assaulted while jogging on a clifftop path at the southern end of Browns Bay around 4.30 yesterday afternoon.

Police say the offender was a man, described as aged about 25, Maori, overweight, and about 5-foot-10 - who then fled on foot, and was last seen on Beechwood Road.

They says he was wearing a dark t-shirt, trousers, and a black and grey cap with a sticker on the peak.

Anyone with information, or dashcam footage, is urged to call 105 or Crimestoppers anonymously.
