Hamish Bond's about to embark on a new experience in the rowing world

Hamish Bond's about to embark on a new experience in the rowing world

The double Olympic pair gold medallist has confirmed he'll contest a spot in the eight at the Tokyo Olympics, despite being tempted by the single sculls as a past national champion.

That means he'll race his first "regatta of death" in May in Lucerne.

Bond's bulked up to around 92kg for the purpose, so he can maximise his power off the start line.
