On Friday, a woman in her 20s was injured after being assaulted while jogging on a track in Browns Bay.
Police are investigating whether the incident is linked to two other recent attacks on women in the area, who were walking or jogging on public paths.
Hibiscus and Bays Local Board Deputy Chair, Victoria Short, says people should take extra care.
She says local police are advising people using the tracks walk in pairs and know their surroundings before heading out.
