51 quarantine officers and four biosecurity detector dog teams graduated today.
Biosecurity Minister Damien O'Connor says our flora, fauna and livestock are the foundations of our primary sector, rural communities and economy.
He says these staff will help keep out pests and diseases that could have devastating impacts.
41 officers will be based in Auckland, with the others in Christchurch, Wellington and Queenstown.
