Air New Zealand's opening up its new regional lounge at Auckland Airport today

The new lounge, which has been under construction since October last year, can cater for up to 265 customers.

It's part of a 60 million dollar investment in lounges throughout New Zealand over the next two years.

The airline's chief marketing and customer officer Mike Tod says it's great to have the new space up and running ahead of the busy summer travel period.

He says customers will enjoy their experience in the larger, new space before taking off.
