    News Talk ZB Sport -

The New Zealand Cup honours have gone to Dee and Gee at Riccarton Park in Christchurch.

The Peter Corbett and Terrill Charles trained horse has pulled away from the field on the home straight to claim victory in the 156th running of the race.

Corbett has commended jockey Leah Hemi's ride.

Kaharau has finished second, with Gorbachev third.

All Blacks rugby Sevens coach Clark Laidlaw is excited for the next generation of sevens players coming through the ranks.

Backs Caleb Clarke, Etene Nanai-Seturo and Salesi Rayasi have been training with the squad and will join them in the lead up to Tokyo Olympic Games.

The trio have taken leave from their respective Super Rugby teams to pursue an Olympic opportunity.
