A father and son missing from a West Coast tramping track have been found

A father and son missing from a West Coast tramping track have been found

They were expected back from their tramp to the Cedar Flat Hut around 6 last night - but failed to return.

A police spokesman says a search team found them still at the hut at 3 this morning - and they were airlifted to safety.

They say they were stranded by heavy rain and flooding.
