A witness says a Dunedin doctor sounded angry and stressed - minutes before he's accused of stabbing a teenage girl to death

A witness says a Dunedin doctor sounded angry and stressed - minutes before he's accused of stabbing a teenage girl to death

Venod Skantha's trial continues in the High Court at Dunedin - where he's pleaded not guilty to murdering 16-year-old Amber-Rose Rush.

The jury's heard from a key witness' friends - who were with him the night he says he drove Skantha to Amber-Rose's house.

The Otago Daily Times reports a 23-year-old woman says she overheard a phone conversation between her friend and the doctor.

She says Skantha was angry about a social media post Amber-Rose had made and was talking loud and fast - as her friend tried to reassure him.
