Black Caps bowler Neil Wagner feels prepared to attack the English when they meet in the first cricket test in Mount Maunganui on Thursday

Wagner's vying with Trent Boult, Tim Southee, Matt Henry and Lockie Ferguson for what are expected to be three pace spots.

The Northern Districts quick has taken 12 wickets in the first three Plunket Shield matches.

Wagner says getting the strength and conditioning and mental side of things right over the winter have been beneficial.
