Venod Skantha's on trial at the High Court in Dunedin - accused of murdering 16-year-old Amber-Rose Rush early last year.
The Crown says the defendant killed the teen because she threatened to go to his hospital bosses with sexual allegations.
This morning in Court, Tracey Severins told the jury she met Skantha on Tinder in September 2017.
The Otago Daily Times report she claims he once gave her money to get drugs - and when she didn't, he threatened to slit her daughter's throat.
