The Commerce Commission is reporting a sharp rise in complaints from consumers

The competition watchdog received nearly nine-thousand complaints in the year to June, up more than 20-percent on the previous year.

It included an unprecedented number of complaints about Viagogo, which is subject to High Court proceedings.

Chair Anna Rawlings says every complaint is taken seriously.
