Several electric vehicle charging stations have been shut down following an explosion in North Canterbury

Several electric vehicle charging stations have been shut down following an explosion in North Canterbury

An investigation's underway after a ChargeNet station on Carters Road in Amberley blew up last night.

In a statement ChargeNet says the safety and security of its customers is paramount.

As a precaution a number of stations have been temporarily closed for testing and diagnostics.

A spokesperson says people should expect disruption while the matter is being inspected diligently with the help of several organisations.
