The close-knit culture in Samoa is making containing the spread of measles a challenge

Twenty-five people have already died of the disease there and authorities are expected to provide an update on the situation today.
Kiwi doctor Scott Wilson is leading a team at a rural hospital in Samoa.
He says measles is very contagious and vaccination rates are poor in the island nation.
Wilson says the infection-control measures are very difficult to implement because families live in a communal environment so measles spreads quickly.
