Doctor Venod Skantha has pleaded not guilty to murdering 16-year-old Amber-Rose Rush in her home last year.
The Crown says Amber-Rose threatened to tell police and the man's hospital authorities about offering money for sex, and supplying minors with alcohol.
But the defence says the Crown's key witness is responsible for the girl's murder.
The jury will retire to deliberate on a verdict after the judge has finished summing up.
They have more than one thousand pages of evidence and exhibits to consider.
