A 90-year-old woman has died nearly a month after three teenagers are alleged to have assaulted her in her home.
A homicide investigation has been launched.
Age Concern spokesman Dan Gerarghty says reported abuse cases are on the up.
He says they're dealing with 40 to 50 cases of elder abuse a year - and receive between 90 and 100 reports of concern.
Three young women charged over the attack remain before the courts.
