    The legs of some of the top golfers in the world are poised to get a bit of extra sun


    As of the season-opening European Tour event tonight in South Africa, players can wear shorts for the first time in competition.

    Previously only trousers could be worn, with shorts restricted to pro-am and practice rounds.

    Temperatures are expected to hit around 40 degrees at the tournament.
