The West Coast is bracing for more flooding and slips

The West Coast is bracing for more flooding and slips

State Highway 6 between Fox Glacier and Haast is closed at Knights Point, leaving several travellers stranded in Haast.

MetService has issued another heavy rain warning for Westland south of Otira.

West Coast Civil Defence officials say that could lead to more disruptions in an area that is already soaked.

There's also a heavy rain warning in place for parts of Canterbury.
