Cricket Australia will work closely with Melbourne Cricket Ground staff to ensure a safe pitch is produced for the Boxing Day test against the Black Caps

Cricket Australia will work closely with Melbourne Cricket Ground staff to ensure a safe pitch is produced for the Boxing Day test against the Black Caps

The ground's come under scrutiny after a day of a domestic game had to be abandoned due to the uneven bounce.

Australian representatives Shaun Marsh and Marcus Stoinis were both hit several times while batting, before umpires stopped play.
