Scotty Hopson's inclusion in the Breakers side tonight comes at the expense of Glen Rice Junior

Scotty Hopson's inclusion in the Breakers side tonight comes at the expense of Glen Rice Junior

Hopson has recovered from a knee injury suffered in round five.

It means Rice, who was playing as a nominated injury replacement, is no longer eligible under the Australian basketball league's import rules.

The Breakers play the Brisbane Bullets in Auckland from 7.30pm.

Tokyo is all that matters for the New Zealand men's sprint team of Ethan Mitchell, Sam Webster and Eddie Dawkins.

Cycling New Zealand raised a few eyebrows by resting a clearly fatigued Dawkins for this weekend's track cycling World Cup in Brisbane.

22-year-old Sam Dakin will replace Dawkins.

High performance director Martin Barras says everything they do over the next eight months is about the Olympics.

Kiwi sailors Alex Maloney and Molly Meech concede they have plenty to do heading into Olympic year.

The Rio silver medalists failed to win a race en route to finishing sixth at the 49er FX sailing world championships in Auckland.

But with another worlds in February, Meech says anyone can step it up between now and the Tokyo Games.
