Jetstar pilots and ground staff in Australia are walking off the job today
13 December 2019
It comes after the airline refused pay increases for workers, as well as minimum job hours and safety improvements.
About 250 Jetstar ground staff and baggage handlers will stop work during peak departure and arrival periods in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Cairns and Adelaide.
CEO Gareth Evans says Jetstar will cancel 44 services tomorrow, and 46 on Sunday.
He says customers travelling from today until December 20 can request a full refund prior to flying.
