A change at the top of the batting order is being considered by the Black Caps ahead of the Boxing Day cricket test against Australia in Melbourne

Two scores of one has put pressure on selectors to drop opener Jeet Raval, who also struggled in the recent series win against England in New Zealand.

Coach Gary Stead says they are not the kind of side to make knee-jerk reactions, but they do have cover if they decide the time is right for change.



Lockie Ferguson has been ruled out for five to six weeks with a calf strain suffered during the opening test.

A replacement will be announced tomorrow.
