Aviation consultancy firm To70 has released its annual report showing that there were just eight fatal accidents in 2019, resulting in 257 deaths.
That's down from 13 fatal accidents in 2018 that killed 534 people.
The worst fatal accident was an Ethiopian Airlines flight in March involving a Boeing 737 (seven three seven) Max plane, which killed 157 people.
The 737 Max has since been grounded by authorities.
