A National MP wants to fight back against skin cancer... by tackling sunscreen safety

A National MP wants to fight back against skin cancer... by tackling sunscreen safety

Todd Muller's lodged a new Members' Bill that would ensure all sunscreens actually provide the protection they claim.

He says despite the government's inaction on the issue... he thinks his bill will get across the line.

He says the government's singled it as a problem... but they are good at signalling problems and fairly useless at bringing solutions to the table.

Muller's bill comes after Consumer NZ revealed nearly half of sunscreens it tested didn't meet the SPF claimed on the label.
