The government's labelled a National MP's plans to incentivise murderers to cooperate with law enforcement as dog whistle politics

Tim Macindoe lodged a new Members' Bill that would see convicted killers denied parole unless they reveal the location of their victim's body.
A government spokesperson says the Parole Board already takes account of genuine remorse, and refusing to assist in body recovery is clearly not remorse.
T spokesman says the Bill would do nothing to ensure less offending, less reoffending, and fewer victims of crime.
