New Zealand businesses are feeling more confident - but the jump isn't as big as economic forecasters expected

The New Zealand Institute of Economic Research has just released its quarterly business opinion survey.
JMI Wealth's Andrew Kelleher says the results show some growth on last year's ANZ survey - but the numbers aren't as perky as they'd like.
He says many businesses are finding themselves in a glass half full - glass half empty situation.
Kelleher says the risk of a recession this year is receding - but at the same time, activity late last year was pretty weak.
