    A syphilis epidemic has hit Melbourne - with a jump in women getting the sexually transmitted disease


    A resurgence of the highly infectious and sometimes fatal disease in Victoria has seen rates almost triple since 2014.

    There's been a big increase in cases around the CBD - Port Phillip and Yarra council areas.
