    A warning from police for Wellingtonians to stay safe during Cup Day today


    The horse-racing celebration has a record for drunken, disorderly, and sometimes dangerous behaviour.

    Senior Sergeant Haley Ryan says it's especially important not to drink and drive.

    He says they'll be breath-testing every driver to and from the event.
