A shocking near-miss - with a pellet found lodged in a child's car seat after a gang brawl in Taradale, Napier

A shocking near-miss - with a pellet found lodged in a child's car seat after a gang brawl in Taradale, Napier

The fight outside a restaurant involved up to 40 Black Power and Mongrel Mob members and has left a 25-year-old man in hospital.

Police say a pellet was later found in a child's car seat - and fortunately the child was unharmed.

It was the second gang-related event on the North Island's east coast at the weekend, with Police also investigating a drive-by shooting in Ruatoria.
