Allrounder Sophie Devine's endured a tough outing in her first match as White Ferns captain

New Zealand's lost to South Africa by seven wickets in their one-day series opener at the Eden Park outer oval, failing to defend 259.

Devine says it's a lot different than captaining a provincial side.

Game two of three is tomorrow at the same ground.
