    The death toll in eastern Turkey is continuing to rise after part of the country was rocked by a powerful 6.8-magnitude earthquake



    At least 18 people have been killed and more than 500 injured in the shallow quake, which struck near the town of Sivrice.

    Turkish officials say another 30 people remain trapped in the rubble of toppled buildings.

    The severe jolt was reportedly felt in several other countries, including Iraq, Syria and Lebanon.
