The fire broke out around 4 o'clock yesterday morning and at its peak, covered more than 100 hectares of land, destroying farm buildings and an empty house.
A Fire and Emergency spokesman says more crews are expected at first light.
He says speed restrictions remain in place due to the fire's close proximity to the road.
